Welcome to DBD. On March 8th, DBD celebrated it's 5th anniversary and PRiSM celebrated it's 2nd anniversary. Little did I know when I started both of these ventures just how much an impact they would have on my life and I'd like to thank each and everyone of you who have supported me over the years, with a special thanks to those individuals who have kindly shared their knowledge with me, and continue to do so. Global Data Breaches - February 2021

February 2021 saw another 118 Data Breaches reported which accounted for 2.3 Billion Data Records reported compromised.

February's total amount of Data Breaches reported increased by over 43% from last month, and the total amount of Data Records reported compromised increased by over 164% from last month.

The hardest hit sectors were Healthcare, Education and Public Sector, with most breach types continuing to be Cyber Attack, Internal Error and Ransomware, accounting for 73% of total Data Breaches reported this year.

Currently this takes the yearly totals so far to 200 Data Breaches reported and 3.2 Billion Data Records reported comprised as of the end of February 2021.
